Presenter's profile

Bregje is Global Head of Client Portfolio Management on the Emerging Market Debt (EMD) team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) and is based in The Hague. She joined Goldman Sachs as part of the firm's acquisition of NN Investment Partners in 2022. Bregje originally joined NN Investment Partners in 2005 and has held various roles at the firm, most recently as Client Portfolio Manager of the EMD franchise. In this position, which she held since 2018, she was responsible for the commercial strategy of the EMD franchise, new products and customized solutions and representing the franchise during client meetings and industry conferences.

Prior to that, she was Client Portfolio Manager for multi sector fixed income. She began her career in 2005 in the institutional clients department at ING IM. Bregje earned a Master of Science in International Economics and Finance from Tilburg University in 2004.

He leads the Shari’ah Investment strategy and research on the Shari’ah investment portfolios. On his watch he was awarded the CityWire award for Best Portfolio Manager in the Global Equity Category.

Maahir specialises in listed local and global equity, and Islamic fixed income. Prior to joining Old Mutual Investment Group, he worked at JP Morgan Chase Investment Bank and Riscura Consulting.

He holds a BCom Honours (Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management) and MBA degrees.

heavy weighting of these indices to Information Technology. Gavin shares his

views on the outlook for Shariah equity returns and the importance stock

selection and risk management at this point in the investment cycle.

Gavin is the Senior Investment Director for Global and International Equities

at Schroders with client portfolio responsibility for Global and US equity

strategies. He joined Schroders in 2007, working initially in the Japanese and

Pan Pacific equity teams and was previously a Director at Merrill Lynch

Investment Managers from 1998 to 2007, in its high alpha UK Equities teams

and prior to that, managing institutional multi asset client portfolios. Gavin is a

CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Society of the UK (CFA UK).
