Portfolio Manager, Asia ex-Japan Equities

Trump’s erratic policymaking and the ensuing uncertainty is already having a
profound impact on the US economy and has seen a weakening of the dollar.
If this marks the end of US exceptionalism, it will have far reaching
consequences around the world, but perhaps no more so than in Asia. With
its varying stages of economic development, contrasting growth models,
distinct demographic profiles and range of geopolitical alignments, Asia’s
diversity brings dynamism, resilience and opportunity. It also provides ample
scope for active managers to generate alpha by targeting economies with
powerful structural advantages, and by focusing on what each country does
best. Duncan Robertson will discuss where he sees the most attractive
opportunities look ahead over the next 12 months.
Duncan is Portfolio Manager of TT’s Asia and Global Smid-Cap Strategies.
Before joining TT in 2014, Duncan was a Senior Portfolio Manager of the
Global Emerging Markets Fund at USS Investment Management. He
graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSC in Economics and
Finance. Duncan is also a CFA Charterholder.
